Okanagan College Baseball Opens 19th Season 

The Okanagan College Coyotes are stepping into their 19th season with a familiar mix of confidence, expectation, and unfinished work. Based in Kelowna and competing in the Canadian College Baseball Conference, the program has grown from a regional contender into one of the most consistent college baseball teams in the country.

This year’s group begins the campaign with motivation drawn from both success and disappointment. The Coyotes captured the 2025 Canadian College World Series title, but they did not repeat as champions in 2026. Now, the program enters its 19th season looking to return to the championship game and re-establish itself among the top teams in the Canadian College Baseball Conference.

Head coach Geoff White’s team has regularly found ways to peak when the games matter most. The 2025 title showed the level the Coyotes can reach, while the following season reinforced how difficult it is to stay there. That experience gives returning players a clear example of the standard required to compete again, while newcomers arrive knowing they are joining a program with high expectations.

The 19th season will also bring renewed attention from local baseball fans. The Coyotes will use a fall exhibition schedule to evaluate players, build depth, and prepare for the 2027 season, which begins in late March and runs through the end of May. Home dates at Elks Stadium offer the community another chance to support a team that has helped raise the profile of college baseball in the Okanagan.

For Okanagan College, the new season is more than a fresh start. It is an opportunity to chase another postseason run, develop the next wave of players, and continue building.
